The Council for Canadian American Relations (CCAR) hosted its Gala 2026 at a Black-Tie Dinner in New York City on May 11th. Gala guests included cross-border leaders in the fields of arts and culture, business, philanthropy, and public life from across the United States and Canada.

The Awards for Distinguished Contributions to the Arts were presented to Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin and artist Cindy Sherman. Glenn D. Lowry, Director Emeritus, The Museum of Modern Art | MoMA, and Matthew Teitelbaum, Ann and Graham Gund Director Emeritus, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, were honored for Arts Leadership.

Gala 2026 celebrated cultural achievement and cross-border Friendship and Impact Through the Arts.
